Most people will know Fiber Optics in it's most common form - a Fiber Optic Lamp, or the cable that connects between your CD Player and Hi-Fi Amplifier.

However Fiber Optics can be used to great effect for all kinds of lighting effects:

Stair Lights, Star Curtains, Star Ceilings, Limousine Lighting, Picture Rail Lighting, Woven Fiber Matting, Illuminated Initials etc, etc.

Fiber Optics are basically fibers that are made from glass or optically clear plastic. Light is carried through the fiber to the end of the Fiber. Or in the case of Linear Fiber - along the length of the Fiber itself.

If 20 or more individual lights are required, consider the wiring and all of the connections needed for each of the LEDs! When a lot of individual lights are required then Fiber Optics is the only solution.

Fiber Optics gives you the look of LEDs without the expense of colour changing LEDs and all of the wiring and connections involved.

Only one light source is needed for every 80 or so Fibers. The Fibers can be cut and rejoined when and where necessary.
