16 Watt Citizen LED Light Engine

For serious hobbyists and developers:

16 watt LED Light Engine manufactured by CITIZEN capable of producing around 1,150 lumens of light, which is equivalent to that given by a 100 WattTungsten light bulb.

• Very Energy Efficient
• No UV Radiation

The junction temperature needs to be kept well below 120°C so the LED must be mounted to a suitable Heatsink or Aluminium plate with enough surface area to dissipate the heat. If not the LED s lifetime will be greatly reduced

The LED lends itself very well to many applications, for example aquarium lighting where the LED could easily be fitted to the hood of the tank which are normally aluminium. The surface area (350cm2) of the average Aluminium fishtank hood will be more than adequate for 1 of these light engines.

To provide a long lifetime, ideally this LED Light Engine should be used with a suitable constant current driver.
