Switchbox - 240v Wireless On/Off Control

The Switchbox makes it possible to control most Mains or 240v AC devices in the home or office switchable directly from your smartphone or anywhere in the world via the internet. You can also control it locally by using a signal from a motion sensor or push button.

The Switchbox is a Smart Relay which makes it possible to control most household Electrical devices by your Smartphone or Tablet.

It can be fitted to switch a device on or off with no wall switch involved or used in conjunction with an existing wall switch for control by wall switch or any device equipped with an internet browser.

The Switchbox has a built in electromagnetic switch known as a relay. When a signal is received the coil in the relay is charged which pulls a mechanical switch into a closed state, this makes the connection to the circuit. When the signal switches off, the coil quickly discharges breaking the connection. You may have heard a clicking sound when using your indicators or hazard lights in your car, this is the relay closing and opening connections. Relays are often used when high voltages and current need to be switched by using smaller voltages.
